Brace

So I've had my braces on my teeth since April now & there's a huge difference already...I love how my teeth are straightening up!  I can even see a change in my face shape!

Im worrying a little that I need to have my veneer taken off and have a bracket put on that tooth...I've not been seen in public without my veneer since I was about 15...17years is a long time!

Im so glad that I made the decision to have this process done, Im a little nervous about the surgery...but part of me just wants to get it over and done with! 

Hopefully the complete process won't take as long as predicted!

Im hoping that my teeth will be ready for surgey before the 12 months is up!

When it's all done I'll post some comparison pictures...to view the transformation!

Since January I've been on Slimming World as I promised myself that by the time I'd had my operation I wanted to be at my target weight...or at least almost there!

So far there's been a 3stone 5.5lb loss this year, which Im majorly happy with as it hasn't been the best of years for me! Im hoping to get to a 4stone loss by Christmas, I will however still have at least another 4stone to lose next year!

Mission:- Target Weight & New Face well under way...feeling extremely pleased with myself at the minute!

Can't wait to see the combined end results.

On/Off Plan

This should've posted yesterday...

My last re-blog post is so appropriate right now…I have been struggling to stay on plan for the last couple of weeks…but last night I caught a glimpse of my body in the mirror and it was awful…disgusting even! 

Today however I’ve been on plan 100%
Just goes to show what a fright can do!!! 

It’s weigh day tomorrow though and I know it’s probably too little too late…but a day on plan is better than a day off plan! 

Here’s to a full week of sticking to it!
I’d like to shift another stone by Christmas…so time to flight the flab & lose the lbs.

Hmmmm

Absolutely gutted at my 2lb gain...so gutted I could cry infact!

My food has been spot on, I've not gone over my syns, eaten plenty of superfree food! 

Hmmmm it's not star week either...! 

I will assume that it is because I had such a big loss last week! 

I feel & look slimmer so hopefully my body will catch up again next week! 

As for today Im having a fat day...and Im gonna prepare some meals for the week ahead!

Catch Up

Bedore my holiday I was within 1.5lb of my mini target...I had a holiday gain if 4.5lb including my star week...which overall I think is good!

I'm finding getting back on track pretty easy...just don't seem to be getting time to eat now that Im back in work!!!

Must try harder!!!!!

Eeeee


I was really pleased with my loss this morning...especially as I've eaten nowhere near enough!!

I was worried when I saw that the scales were on carpet incase it messed the scales up...but clearly not! 

2.5lb to go now until my 2 stone award! Can I do it by Wednesday & before I go on my Holidays?!? Eeee I hope so!

Good job I don't need to syn Gaviscon otherwise I'd be well over!!!!

Fluids...2 Litres water, 3x cups of tea & 2x glasses of soda water!

Hxa has been on milk in tea.

Im a bit nervous for weigh in this week as I've gone over my syns etc...ah well it's been a busy stressful week & shit happens!

Update

Ive been slacking a bit this week...not because I can't be bothered but because I haven't got time! 

My Dad's in hospital & if Im not at work Im going visiting twice a day! There's just no time for meals at all!!!

I need to find a way of having something quick & healthy! 

I've only got 3 weeks to lose 7lb to achieve my 2 stone award ready for my holidays!

Afternoon snack...desperate measures at work called for chocolate...(8syns)

Tea...bacon *hxb* & mushroom omelette with a sprinkle of cheese...splodge of ketchup too (1syn)

Managed 2L water :)

Wanted to try & low syn but I was really desperate!!!

Maybe...Maybe Not

Today is weigh in day but Im in work 8am-8pm :(

I'm going to suck up to my manager to see if she'll let me nip out & get weighed...the worst she can do is say no!!!

I've weighed myself on my own scales & Im always heavier on mine than at group...& I'm currently lighter than I was on the group ones last week so hopefully thats a good sign!

Roast Chicken (hxb), syn free chips & peas for tea!

Milk (hxa) in cups of tea! 1L of water.

Im absolutely starving now but it's too late for me to eat so...will have to wait till morning

Its been a day where every time I go to get something...something happens and it gets bypassed!

I was going to go to weigh in tonight too, but I wasn't home from work in time so...I'll have to wait until next week now!

Best get my super focussed head on!!!

Funny Old Week

Last Thursday I had my brace fitted...top one is a fixed brace and the bottom is a removable one...however this has caused me grate discomfort and has made it very difficult to eat.

The only foods I have manage to eat since Thursday are...

Porridge
Vegetable Soup
Mince & Mash
Mash & Gravy
Scrambled Egg & Baked Beans
Jelly

I ended up going back to the Hospital on Tuesday and they have filed the bottom brace down a little making it much more comfortable and it is now much easier to eat...although...I'll be glad when the ulcers have gone!

Weigh in today...was good...I managed to lose 1.5lb which makes 7lb in 3 weeks...I am so glad to be in the zone....feel so much better in myself.  I even managed to blag Slimmer of the Week *whoooop* and I won the weekly class raffle too....good day all round!

Roll on next week for another loss.

ON IT

Today was my first weigh in in 2 weeks, due to missing last weeks because of work and I'd lost 5.5lb....meaning I have now achieved my 1 stone award whooooop whooooop!

I discovered that I'd put 1lb on last time but she told me I had stayed the same and because I've not looked in my book I hadn't noticed...but I'm glad I didn't know as it might have pushed me out of the zone...and as it is I'm now really pleased with myself and looking forward to another good week.

I'm dreading tomorrow....I'm having my brace put on :( eeeeeeeeeek scared!

Busy Time


Had a busy few days with no time to post...have been mostly good food wise...although on a couple of days it was a case of just eating when there  was a spare minute!!

I've had a Water Infection too, which has thrown me off a little and I've been having to drink some cranberry to try and get rid of it a little quicker!

Back to it now though...2 more full days of plan before weigh in...hope I'm still showing a loss by then!

Day 3....

Day 3 Complete

So no weigh in today...but I did get on my own scales and I've lost about 1.5lb (compared to what my scales read last week) which I'm really chuffed with especially as it's * week too!

Today's food consisted of...

...Green Day...

Breakfast...1x Chocolate Orange Hifi Bar (hxb)

Lunch...Pasta, tinned tomatoes, Cheese (hxa)

Snack...Raspberry & Cranberry Mullerlight, Grapes

Tea...2x Poached eggs on Toast (hxb) with Lurpak lighter (3syns) Brown Sauce (1/2syn)

Currently contemplating a few segments of a Terry's Chocolate Orange...but I know if I crack it open I will want to eat the whole thing!!! It is fruit though...isn't it?!?!

Meals are a little repetitive this week...gonna get some planning done at the weekend and do some cooking for next week.

I've Done It

Day 1....Done!

I've managed a full day on plan...whooooop whoooooop!

Breakfast...1x Hifi Light Rocky Road bar (1/2 hxb), 1x Raspberry & Cranberry Mullerlight yogurt and a few grapes.

Lunch...Pasta, 1x tin of chopped tomatoes & a sprinkling of cheese (hxa) followed by a Strawberry Mullerlight yogurt & more grapes.

Tea...2x Poached Eggs on Toast (hxb)

Snacks...1x Hifi Light Rocky Road bar (1/2 hub), 3x Small Digestive biscuits (9 syns)

The other hxa was used for milk in cups of tea.

I'm really pleased with myself today as I've not even felt as though it was a struggle...!

Roll on tomorrow for Day 2.

Update

I went to Weigh in on Wednesday and I had gained 1lb which I was happy with due to the fact that I'd not been focussed at all.

I did however feel very focussed leaving group on Wednesday and was looking forward to the 2 weeks ahead.  I'm not going to weigh in this week due to being in work...however that gives me 1.5 weeks to lose the 1lb and more and hopefully get back on the losing wagon.

I knew I had a busy weekend planned starting with a Surprise Baby Shower on Friday including a Chinese and then and Engagement Party which would no doubt include buffet food and VODKA!!!

I managed to be good with my food through the day so as not to do too much damage but I planned to enjoy my weekend and then make a fresh start on Monday...which is still my plan! I'm looking forward to a full day on plan tomorrow with no interruptions!

I've managed 2 days of dancing to my exercise playlist on my iPod...well...1 and then some of the routines at the party last night...and obviously that counts right (haha).

Anyway...I'm back....whoooooooop!

Exercise

I really need to do some exercise....

I'm not a huge fan of it...but needs must and all that!

My friend Leanne and me are going to start going to Zumba again on a Wednesday evening, which I am kind of looking forward to.  We enjoyed it when we went before...so hopefully we'll be able to get back into it.

I've updated my iPod with some great tunes to dance about to, so I'm going to attempt to do this a couple of times per week (maybe even every night)...when I say songs to dance about to, I mean ones with routines...such as...

All seriously cheesey but good for a boogie around the bedroom/living room and sadly YES I know the routines to them all.  90's girl through and through!

When I lived with my friends in Yorkshire, we used to have a play list a bit like this and we used to dance to it every night, working up a sweat...we were shattered the first few nights but then we started to get used to it.

I love having a dance on a night out so why not have a dance every night around the house to some of my favourite tunes.

Dress Size

I don't know about other people, but when I'm trying to lose weight I find the change of dress size a real inspiration.

However I have a lot of trouble with this...I must be a peculiar shape as I can lose upto 2 stone and still be wearing the same clothes size as I was when I started.  Yes the items of clothing may be loose or even big, but the next size isn't anywhere near to fitting.

I find this really frustrating and a real dis-heartener.

I know this is why we should take measurements of various areas of our bodies to see if the weight has shifted from places that don't always affect clothing.

So tonight, I've taken my measurements and I will take them again on the first Sunday of April and then   on the first Sunday of each month after that!  I've also taken a few photographs, a front, back and side view of my body which I will also repeat when I'm monitoring my measurements.

I hope this works.

Back To It

I've not been to group since...February 6th due to being unwell and being at work and being unable to attend.

I decided on Wednesday that I would re-join, even though I knew I wouldn't stick to plan instantly as I had a busy weekend ahead but I wanted to re-join to see what damage was done and to see if I could try and limit it a little.

When I got to group on Wednesday, my consultant Sarah was very welcoming and understanding about my issues...I paid to re-join as it was cheaper than paying for the missed weeks.

On getting weighed I discovered that I had maintained my weight from the 6th February which I was really pleased with as I haven't followed the plan in the slightest since before I went to London at the end of January.

After my hectic alcohol filled weekend, I'm looking forward to getting back on plan tomorrow....

I'm having a couple of red days...I've got peppered mackerel salad for lunch and I'm having steak & kidney with veg for my tea.  Not sure what I'm using my healthy extra's on yet...but I'll find something.
