January…

January 2014 is here, I can’t say I’m disappointed to see the back of 2013…it wasn’t the best year for me, my family & friends…but we all got through it with the help of one another.

2013 saw…one of my best friends lose her Mum, and me lose my wonderful Nan!

2013 wasn’t all bad though…I’ve got some amazing memories from times spent with my fabulous friends…such as…

Nicola’s 30th Birthday celebrations in May

In June I went on Holiday to Puerto Rico with my fellow MancBird June

June also saw a weekend away in Newcastle for Nicola’s Hen Party

August was the Wedding of the Year…between Nicola & Trigger

2 Dublin visits close together…1x for Shane Filan’s album launch party & the 2nd for the Childline Concert…!

I’ve even managed to lose 3.5 stone on Slimming World…there’s still plenty more weight to go and although I know I could’ve lost more I’m happy with this as I still need to live my life and have fun!

I’ve had my braces on my teeth since April and it’s all going well…however I can’t wait until all my treatment is done! I wish they could just hurry up and do the surgery without all this messing about…but still needs must.

I’ve learned a lot about people in 2013…people that I thought were my friends…but really they just don’t give a shit…well in 2014…I’m not going to!  I know who is important to me and I know who appreciates me for me and it’s with them that my loyalties will lie.

I realised with a tremendous thud that I had feelings for someone I work with after I saw him kissing someone else!!! The worst part of all of this is…he likes me and he knows I like him…but he is seeing someone else…he can’t understand why I would like him…! Why is nothing in this life easy??

What is 2014 going to bring?? Well lets see…

It’s going to see me losing more weight…I’m hoping to get my 4stone award by the end of January and maybe even my 5 stone award by my birthday in March.

I’m going to have my surgery on my teeth at some point…eeeeek!

One of my best friends and fellow MancBirdz is going to have a baby in April <3

Charlotte has got a Hen Night to host before her Wedding early next year!

Hopefully I’ll squeeze a holiday in somewhere for a week in the sun.

I’m going to learn how to Crochet…I’ve wanted to learn for ages…but never done it…so I’ve just ordered a book and some hooks ready!

I will sort myself out one day…maybe 2014 is the year for me to do this!

Brace

So I've had my braces on my teeth since April now & there's a huge difference already...I love how my teeth are straightening up!  I can even see a change in my face shape!

Im worrying a little that I need to have my veneer taken off and have a bracket put on that tooth...I've not been seen in public without my veneer since I was about 15...17years is a long time!

Im so glad that I made the decision to have this process done, Im a little nervous about the surgery...but part of me just wants to get it over and done with! 

Hopefully the complete process won't take as long as predicted!

Im hoping that my teeth will be ready for surgey before the 12 months is up!

When it's all done I'll post some comparison pictures...to view the transformation!

Since January I've been on Slimming World as I promised myself that by the time I'd had my operation I wanted to be at my target weight...or at least almost there!

So far there's been a 3stone 5.5lb loss this year, which Im majorly happy with as it hasn't been the best of years for me! Im hoping to get to a 4stone loss by Christmas, I will however still have at least another 4stone to lose next year!

Mission:- Target Weight & New Face well under way...feeling extremely pleased with myself at the minute!

Can't wait to see the combined end results.
