No Weigh In

I’m not weighing in this week as I’m away in London from today until Friday!

I’ve been pretty shocking for most of the weekend but I know this is because I’m not going to Weigh In this week!

I had a pretty good day on plan yesterday…which was a start.

I’m hoping that I won’t be tempted to be too bad food wise over the next few days!

When I return home I will be getting straight back on plan…to limit any damage made!

Low Syn Snack

I tried these last night, they were nice & sweet but a little sickly...!

Works out to about 5 syns per pack (2 biscuits per pack)

Ooooops!!!!!

Really shit day today!!!

Shit mood...I've been sulking about everything & at one point was so very tempted to just walk out of work!!?

Shit food...it got to 1540 and Id had nothing to eat...no breakfast/dinner I was starving & mixed with my bad mood I ended up eating a few too many chocolates!!!

Shit day...work was shit, mega busy...no time to do anything!

I've just felt like crying all day!!!

I need to give myself a talking to, and shape up!!!!

Back to plan tomorrow...

Tea...spicy red pepper soup & ham sandwich

Going For It

After my 1.5lb loss this week I'm now 4.5lb off my stone award!

So this week I've decided to go for it...full steam ahead!

I'd love to achieve my stone award before my girlie trip to London in a couple of weeks!

Im feeling really focussed!

Im on a course tomorrow and I've planned to take my own lunch even though it's provided! I don't want to be jeopardising a loss...on Wednesday!

I'm quite close to my weekly syn total & to be fair I may even already be over it!

I was ill all last week though...so I'm letting myself off for once!

If I get a maintain I'll be thrilled with that!

Exercise

I've been thinking about exercise a lot this last week....

Exercise I like ...

Zumba
Swimming
The Gym (treadmill, cross trainer, bike)
Tennis
Walking

I've been discussing with my friends Leanne & Lyn, we're going to start walking on my weekend off which I'm quite looking forward to.

I'm gonna go back to Zumba with the girls from work in the next couple of weeks.  We're all really looking forward to it.

I'd love to be able to go running...but I can't run on a treadmill and I'm too bothered about what people would say if they saw me running out on the streets.  Hopefully when I've lost a bit more weight I will feel more confident to try it.

 I wish it was possible for me to attend something on a regular basis but with working shifts I really struggle.  It's so frustrating!

I guess I'll have to get the wii connected up and wii fit/zumba on there instead.

Slimming World

I've joined Slimming World many times before and lost weight on every occasion.  My most successful weight loss journey was in 2002 when I lost 3.5 stone in just a few months.

If only I could've stayed on plan back then and continued my loss I would be at my target weight by now! 

I enjoy following the Slimming World plan, I find it fits in with my lifestyle.

I seem to follow the plan religiously but then if I have a bad day then that's it...I'm off plan with no way of getting back on track.

I'm determined to do it this time and get to target...!  

I'm going to try doing Slimming World the old way...Red & Green day style rather than Extra Easy.  I do enjoy the Extra Easy plan and find it really good if I'm eating out...but I much prefer the old way.

I suppose you could say I'm a bit Old Skool.

So here's to the Old Skool way of following the Slimming World plan.

Quick Review

First day back at work today...and it was rubbish!

Sometimes I'm really not sure why I bother!

Slimming World wise....it's been a good day!

Green Day

Breakfast...(hxb) 2x Weetabix, (hxa) Milk

Lunch...Subway Salad containing *lettuce, cucumber, gherkins, tomato, peppers & onion* with (hxb) Ham & light mayo (2 syns)

Tea...Egg, Chips & Beans (my favourite)

Snack...Pomegranate, Clementine & 1 Chocolate *from tin of Roses* (2 syns)

Drinks...1L Water, 330ml Diet Coke, 1pt vimto!

Syn Total...4

I generally find following plan so much easier on a work day than on a day when I'm off!

I think this is because I have a routine to follow & I don't get time to snack nor do I use my syns as I don't get home from work until it's late & I find that I can't fit it all in!

Not A Good Day

It's not been a good day today....I have again been off plan a little...I'm putting it down to being unwell.

I just haven't really fancied eating fruit & veg.

My main meals have been ok as far as the plan goes...

Lunch...Bacon Butty (hxb)

Tea...Steak, sw chips, onions, mushrooms, peas, tomato

Breakfast however was some Cornflakes....!

Snacking...a couple of biscuits too many....ah well

Damage limitation begins tomorrow!!!!

A Few Westlife Pix

Random Chatter

As you may have read on a previous post I used to follow Westlife all around the country...<3

On the 14 year journey I made the most amazing friends...who Westlife called The MancBirdz <3

We may not see each other all the time but we are there if someone needs us day or night.

It's been a tough 14 months for The MancBirdz...1 member more than another...!

Lynzi was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2011 & underwent an operation immediately and then further treatment of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy...this was hard for Lynzi to go through and hard for us to watch...all we wanted to do was take it away from her and to make her better without any suffering.

Nicky Byrne from Westlife...did some absolutely AMAZING things for Lynzi and The MancBirdz on their final Tour.

He got us a meet and greet and even got us all up on stage with Westlife <3

Since tour...Lynzi has done amazingly and got back to work...getting back to normal....until her Mum was taken ill between Christmas and New Year....!

Lorraine, Lynzi's Mum passed away at the beginning of January...devastating Lynzi & her family...but all of The MancBirdz too...

The funeral was yesterday....and I was so incredibly proud of how Lynzi & brother Stephen dealt with the situation...I wish I could just make everything better for them both!

I'm glad that the bond we have as friends is so strong, by being there for each other...anytime day/night...

New Years Resolutions

I know this post is a bit late but I've just been so busy that I've not had much time...

My Resolutions this year are....

  • To lose weight & get fit/healthy
  • To decide what I want to do with my life career wise...
  • To work on my confidence issues
  • To look into hypnotherapy....to aid my weight loss


My mini aims are....


  • To lose 1/2 stone by end of January...
  • To lose 3 stone by August for Nicola & Triggers Wedding.


So I've already completed 1 of my mini aims....which I am thrilled about...hopefully I can lose another 1/2 stone by then too....!

Week One

So Wednesday saw my first weigh in of the year after my first week back on plan...!

I lost a whopping 8lb....whoooooop whooooop

I got my 1/2 stone award too.

Now for week 2....lets hope I can get a loss again on Wednesday.

At group last week our consultant gave us 2 card hearts....

1 small pink one to write on what we'd like to achieve this year.

Then a bigger one which we will fill with stick on hearts...for every half lb we lose we'll get a small heart to fill the heart....this will go on until Valentines day....!  I didn't get my little sticky stars this week as I didn't stay to group....but I'll be getting them next week.

I would usually stay to group, but because I've not been well all week, I didn't want to be spreading my germs to everyone.

I'm really enjoying being back on plan....Thinner me here we come!

Another Go

Here we are again...January...time to give the dieting another go!

I've re-joined Slimming World...a completely new group....new consultant...I wonder if this will actually work!??!?!

I'm on day 2 of following the plan so far...and I'm really enjoying it!

I don't think I've eaten anywhere near enough...if I could only get rid of this cough/cold and gain my appetite back.
